This full day excursion is one of the highlights in the area and an absolute must-do for the experienced divers.
It's a 75 minutes drive along the Dominican Northcoast to reach Dudu Blue Lagoon.
We will cross Cabarete, Gaspar Hernandez and Rio San Juan before we can see the crystal clear water of lake .
We will go down 6-8 m/ 20-25 ft and we will see the first tunnel.
The tunnel wich bring us to a lake in the middle of the jungle is packed with stalactites and fossils.
A second tunnel brings us back to Lake Dudu where you can spot mouth breeders, freshwater shrimp, turtles and eels.
At the end of the lake we enter a third tunnel and after two exciting dives...
we will go to Playa grande where we will enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Freshwater cave „El DuDu“
The lagoon Dudu located in the town of Cabrera, Maria Trinidad Sanchez province, one and a quarter hours by taxi from Sosua on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It is a lagoon with more than 700 square meters, turquoise and cold water in the form of a crater. It receives groundwater from two freshwater lakes and is kept low by the salinity.
This refreshing lagoon offers visitors a worthwhile extra to the beautiful beaches of the Dominican North Coast. Dudu is the only place where you can dive through cave diving from a natural lake to another natural lake. It is very popular amongst divers, who practice this sport and come from all over the world to immerse in this turquoise water. The lagoon Dudu can reach depths up to 107 meters. Around the resort, there is a variety of local flora, which beautifies the environment of the place.
