This is the biggest private hospital at the north coast that accepts both national and international Insurance. The international department helps interpret for patients in several languages including Spanish, German, English and French. This service is available 24 hours a day and in addition most doctors speak several languages.

There is a center that calls itself PROMED. This number is valid for the whole island. The headquarters is in Santo Domingo,and when a call comes in, it is from there everything is organized. There are ambulances stationed in every city.

The ambulance is included in the health insurance. If you don’t have an insurance you must pay for the transport immediately, the price depends on the injury or illness, if a doctor on site has already provided first aid care, and the distance from of the place of accident to the hospital.
